What this check can and cannot tell you

This samples a few small-number and pattern skills. A correct total does not tell us how a child counted or establish broad math readiness.

Children ages 3–7 see the same activities; results are not compared with age norms. Responses at home can vary with mood, familiarity, language, accessibility, and how the parent helped. Result labels are provisional display rules, not population norms or pass/fail cutoffs.

How we made these activities

KinderLearner authored 48 original questions across two forms and eight narrow skills. This check uses 12 at a time. A parent records what the child says, points to, or taps; uncertain responses are never guessed. These are home learning activities, not a validated screening instrument.
